Salesforce Outlook contacts syncronisation

Is there a way to stop inactive contacts being syncronised into Outlook Contacts. The contact still needs to exist in Salseforce as a histioric record.

Scott_Jorgensen 10/01/08	Christoph: you can set the synchronization setting administratively for all Outlook users. There are directions in the app here: Setup=>Personal Setup=>Desktop Integration=>Connect for Outlook . You want the "Advanced Connect for Microsoft Outlook Administration tip sheet"
wigs535 10/30/08	It's a serious issue for us as well, and has been through our Success Manager and Salesforce support without any resolution. Hoping for some hope from Dreamforce. We have 1 way synch from SF to Outlook, and users are frustrated with the amount of rubbish contacts in their Outlook. It's hindering adoption. I'll try the tip sheet but would be surprised if it resolves it for us.
