Basic Admin Functions on SFDC Mobile

Provide basic admin functions via a SFDC mobile device such as reseting passwords, deactivating user accounts etc. I always have my BlackBerry with me but aren't always near a PC. If I'm out of the office and get a request to deactivate a user or reset a password it would be great to be able to react right away.

rpr2 09/22/08	Agree! Resetting passwords and deactivating users can be very time-critical. Being able to do this from a mobile device would be very useful.
susieb 11/20/08	Absolutley necessary for any admin who isn't in front of a computer all day. De-activations can be very time sensitive, and this would be fabulous!! And the ability ro reset passwords would be an incredible time saver on those off hours, weekends, lunches, etc where a laptop is out of range. Not sure why salesforce would not do this because it probably would solidify them 47,000+ mobile licenses for every admin of every customer.
rpr2 12/13/08	susieb-I was told by someone at Salesforce that the reason this hasn't been done is due to some security concerns. Security is always a trade-off with practicality, so I would still like to see this made available and offered as on option to turn on by the administrator after acknowledging reading text regarding security if that is what is needed. Of course, my preference would be to overcome any technical issues relating to security.
