Alphabetize the Custom Reports List in Dashboards
When creating Dashboard components, the Custom Reports list needs to be alphabetized or better organized.
The report folders in the list are not in any identifiable order, which makes it extremely time-consuming to find the right report when creating dashboards.

It would be very helpful to have first the option of selecting the Report folder - then an alphabetized list of reports within that folder. When you are in a very large implementation you can literally have thousands of report folders and reports to navigate through, which is very time consuming and frustrating. |

I voted for this because having it alphabetized would be a step in the right direction. However, in our implementation we also have thousands of reports / folders so even an alphabetized list would be cumbersome. How about having a search option? |

I agree that selecting the folder first would be a big help - we put all the reports that feed dashboards in designated folders anyway but there's still a lot of scrolling to find the one you need. I'd certainly vote for a search option too. |

I actually called support a couple of months back for this very issue - I wanted to alphabetize the list of report folders. It turns out you can do it, manually. It's not a lot of fun, but there is a way to do it. First, go to your Reports tab. Click the "All Reports" sub-tab. At the top right you now have a link called "Reorder Folders". Clicking this, you get the familiar UI with folders and up and down arrows to move them around. The sad part is, they forgot to include the checkbox saying "Make it alphabetized" so you have to do it all manually. :( Hope this helps in the meantime, until the actually do provide it alphabetized. =) Regards //Johan |

Agreed - Folder selection first. Now impossible to choose from 3000 reports that are messed and mixed up worse than a pirate soup! |
