Need search functionality to work for additional international characters

But we still need the ability to support additional international characters. Search functionality should have the capability to search for special German characters (ä,ü,ö) and "ss," to automatically search for "ae, ue, oe" and "ß," and to include all possibilities in the search results. The search engine should also be able to distinguish & find “ss” & “ß” (when I am looking for “Weissmueller”, it should also find “Weißmüller”, Weißmueller).
