Hi,
It would be immensely helpful if we have the Documents tab accessible from an Apex project created using Apex Toolkit for Eclipse. This would result in a great amount of productivity to the developer community, especially while building custom SControls. Currently, we have to follow the following steps to create/save a document.
1. Click 'View All Tabs' and Click Documents Tab (or) click on the document link in 'Recent Items' section
2. Click 'Replace Document'
3. Select the document (this may require more clicks to go to the appropriate folder of current document in the local machine) using 'Browse' button
4. Click 'Replace Document' again
If Apex Toolkit allows us to access/explore all the folders as well as create new files in the Documents tab, which is meant for serving as a repository for all the custom documents, all we need is a single click on Save button as compared to the above 4 steps. Please note that we end up avoiding 4 clicks as well as around 3 hits to Salesforce servers thereby save a huge amount of time and effort in the development phase, if we have this Document explorer in palce with the Apex Toolkit for Eclipse.
Thanks,
Pavan
