Clone ROLES

hi Salesforce team,
since ROLES are massively used in assigning visibility to Accounts or sets of Accounts to users, it will be great if ROLES can be cloned. ROLE creation is simple, yes, but in many cases, it just entails creation of the new role with a new name (and reporting structure) to an existing one.
Hence cloning of Roles would be of wonderful help..
